Boy Scouts merit badge

It was a great day on the lake, I called a few friends and we went out ice fishing so the scouts could get their Merit Badge for fishing.

Smitty from Clam Corp (Ice Team) came rolling in with the Team Truck and Trailer full of goodies. Smitty provided them all with ice cleats to keep them from falling down and getting hurt, 4 6800 series Clam fish houses and buddy heaters, all the rods and reels, StrikeMaster to drill the holes, Vexilars so the kids had some to play with, and gave them a Ice Team cap as well.

Doc Kehr of Lindy tackle came out with his electronics and toys for the day as well, and to sweeten the pot... sent all the kids home with a tacklebox of fine Lindy jigs and plastics.

"Iceman" Jon Chapman of Iceman Guide Service showed up with all of his toys as well. Fish Trap Yukon, Buddy heater, Vexilar, Auger and Caddie.

I pulled out my Fish Trap Guide and all the goodies as well, Heater, Vex, Camera, ect. ect.

Together we formed a Team that the Kids should not soon forget. We called in the local paper and all ended up on the 10p.m. news thanks to KSAX ch.5

The future of the world as well as fishing is our youth.
Great job Kevin thats what we need more of I am hopeing the scouts come out for Antioch Kids clinic if and when the ice gets here.

Great to see the scouts out earning their badges. I took some scounts out and they got their fishing badges last summer.
