Lake Keomah is a lake i started fishing about 2 years ago. I have had great crappie and blue gill luck there. I have pulled a few bass from there but nothing to brag about. It is only 83 acres. The thing i like the most about it is they have an electric motor only rule for the lake. It makes it nice for just about any type of fisherman.
Hope you can take time to go try it.

Kermit, Thanks for the tip. -- I, my grandson Brandon, and a friend from the Oskaloosa area fished this lake this am. We got a few nice gills, and more importantly got to spend some time together. It's probably not often you will see 3 float tubes on that lake. lol I have pictures to post later. :icon_cool:
On the way home, we stopped by Diamond Lake. I had a cotton candy Grizzly jig and Brandon selected a white core chartreuse twister tail jig. I had mistakenly told Brandon that there was a bacteria count alert on this lake. It turned out that the alert is actually for Darling Lake. As a result I wouldn't keep any fish. Brandon was working the edge of a brush pile from shore and caught a couple dozen nice ones, and a bluegill or 2 . He threw them back as he caught them so they are still waiting for anyone that needs some. lol We have plenty of fillets anyway.
Overall we had a great day. Gotta run, we are going down to the end of the local canal and see if we can hang into a catfish. Mike

You are probably right about the float tubes. As long as you have fun and enjoy the time together, catching fish is just a bonus.

This is a VERY late posting of some pictures from our outing on Keomah. It was a fun day for sure. The pictures are of a friend (Marty) from the area and my grandson, Brandon. Mike

Mike I posted a pic ok
This is pretty strange, when I saved that pic to my computer if I look at it in thumbnail it is fine but soon as I put it up full size in a picture or fax viewer it is that red color that is there now
I don't know quite what it could be, I could not correct it in graphics programs
I will see if I can track down anything similar an find out what might be
causing it but for right now it is a total mystery to me, an I am 99% sure
it isn't forum problem

Looks great Giller. I am going there this weekend with my dad and father in-law. It is an annual thing that we do for fathers day.
