Sharon, You are missing out!! That report said that the bluegill are "tearing it up" at Colt Creek State park on wigglers and red worms. How do you stand it? Better call in tmw. and tear them up. lol You can't get cold hauling in bluegill. Mike

Colt Creek is a very new park here.. not even sure where its hidden... somewhere in North Lakeland... think they took the swamplands and made a park out of it. :rolleyes:

tenoroc is some awsome fishing.... it is a great place to take kids......lotsof bass

You know the Lakeland area? Never been to that particular spot myself.. been to others in the area... and now that the guy fenced off the power plant dock, I cant go there any more :mad:

Sharon, How do you get to work down there without driving by a nice lake? :confused: I'm sure I'd have a problem remembering not to stop by the lake for a bit. :rolleyes:

I took KAT and my granddaughter fishing. Went over to Lake Shipp which is part of the Chain of Lakes in Winter Haven, but there was some sort of outting and tourney going on, so too crowded there. Then we went to Eagle Lake, stayed for a little while had a few hits but no takers, too windy. We ended up in Lake Alfred at Twin Lakes. Nice little park with a nature walk, gazebo, boat ramp and fishing dock. Its downhill some what so the winds werent as bad. Again had some good hits but no takers. Water was dark and murky, lots of lilly pads to fish near, air temps were around 80. I put my granddaughter in the very shallow end so she would quit crying everytime her bobber went under the dock. Lo and behold, she was the only one to catch. Here she is with her killer fish. LOL :p Not bad for a 3 yr old.. she did better than her old granny and her mom! :mad:
