Snowwwww!

Hopefully everyone is staying safe with the snow! We've only had about 3-4 inches, but looks like this winters gonna be a rough one! How's the weather where you are?

The weather here is pretty cool,it got down to 68 degrees last night.
got an e.mail from my daughter saying it was 19 degrees and snowing
expecting 5 to 7 inches,in connersville in.she is a intenesive care nurse
and travels 35 miles to work,the nice thing is she has a place to stay
in the town that she works in.i hope everyone stays safe.she is always
checking in with me to see how the TURKEY CREEK CATFISH RODEO is
going, and i told her yeasterday to sign up here on whereifish.com and
she can keep track of old dad.
ALSO i sent an e. mail to our local sports station in TAMPA to see about
plugging our tournament,received an OK reply from the producer,and i
have to make arrangements to change in some of the advertising info
to have some kind of advertisement for CATCH 47 and HOOKED ON FISHING
I might need some help with this,but i should be able to do it,or we may
be able to work together on this and promote whereifish.com also,
what is your thinking on this.

16 degrees out and 3" of snow cover. I pushed to finish a bath remodel last night. Now I get to sit home and look out the window at the beautiful snow...lol

Yeah, I'm sitting looking out my window looking at all that pretty white stuff wishing it was 70 degrees and melt it all off. It wasn't too many years ago I wished for the snow so I could go rabbit hunting. I guess maybe that must be the golden years creeping up on me. Schoe

it was easier than i thought it would be.when i received this great news,
if i could dance on the ceiling,i would be typeing up side down.

Hey you guys got all the good stuff!!! I pulled the 4 wheeler and the ol truck hood out for the nephews and all we got was bout an inch of sleet and ice. It melted off by noon so all we have is cold weather. Wish we'd got 5 or 6 inches.

Schoe, I'm about two hours out from memphis. That is the closet place to launch on the mississippi. Its where we do most of our fishing if it'll ever warm up a little. LOL

I'm with you on that warm up. Of course it probably don't get as cold down there as it does up here. I think 29 has been the high this week. Later today we are leaving for Lincoln Neb. to spend a few day at my sons and I think they are having worse weather than we are. But, then after Christmas we are headed for Fla. for the winter. I will post on the fishing down there as the puter is coming along. Schoe

Thank you Ray,we made it fine to Lincoln and lucky me m son has 7 or 8 Computers set up around the house with the main 4 in his office where he conducts his home based bussiness.

Hey Schoe, if your going to florida and happen to come near memphis you oughta stop in and do a little fishing along the way. If they are biting the fishing will be worth it. I'm debating on whether to go out tomorrow or not. Winds are suppose to be 15 to 25 mph. I guess i'll just have to wake up in the morning and play it by ear. See how it is in the morning.

Too much snow for my liking here. We had about 4" anyways, more depending on snow drifts thanks to the wind, got a couple more inches the other day so I'd say we've got a good 6-7" on the ground now. If the winter is like this the rest of the way, water levels in the lakes, etc. won't be bad at all.

Well fellas the best i could come up with was a 16 pounder. Ended up with 5 all together. It was nippy but nice, if the wind woulda settled down it woulda been nice. I did see something that shocked me with all this cold weather. As i was anchored up along the bank there was a fella that passed me up with a Kayak. :confused: I have to give him credit he sure was dedicated to be out there, the white caps was every bit of three feet on the way back to the ramp.:rolleyes:

Danny, I'm leaving for Fla. on the 28th or 29th of this month and am going to stop in Memphis for a day or two to see a friend I used to work with a few years ago. I will be coming down through Ark. and crossing the river at Memphis. Do you live anywhere close to I-55 ? I would love to meet you and give you one of our camo hats.
I don't think we will be in the neighborhood long enough this time to go fishing but definitely will do it next year.

Schoe, let me see what i've got goin on a little later. I'd sure like the opportunity to meet you guys! A few family members are coming in so i'll have to play it by ear.
