kickapoo state park

access severely limited due to lack of plowing

clear pond.....some trout an bluegill bein caught thru the ice. ice 6 to 12 inches with heavy snow and slush on top



long pond.......personally caught tons of gills,crappie an a few cats yesterday suspended 7 to 12 ft down in 32 ft of water. large demon jigs,and ratsos tipped with waxworms.

kennekeuk co park.........gills,crappie an some cats bein caught in mingo an adrians pond. ice thickness varies

lincoln trails........good ice but gills are a lil harder to locate this year.action spotty but size still good

no problem schoe. rain an high winds are gonna be bad for the ice,goin to lincoln trails again tues.

lincoln trails state park tough bite. few gills and cats bitin. find somewhere else ta go. toughest fishin ive seen there

kickapoo state park lots of crappie,gills an cats still bein caught suspended over deep water,or on shallow (10-12ft deep) weeds

lake vermillion......... muddy but gittin better. did real well on numbers of bass sat. but not real big on a 3to4 ft deep crankbait in chart/green. caught round 30 largemouth an 5 smallies up to 3 lbs along with 7 channels on it. water temps from 55 way in the river to 63 by the ramp.

Howdy. Homer Lake is ok for common carp, still prespawn, but getting close to spawn. 30 to 60 pound grass carp will be hitting in another month or so. Other species boat fisherman were getting small bass and crappies. Sam.
