This is a great lake i have found for bass, gills, crappie and cats. It is about 260 acres. They took a big valley and damned up one end. About 70% is timbers sticking through the top of the water. I have had my best luck on the south side of the lake just west of the ramp.

There is plenty of habitat throughout the entire lake. My best catch there is a 3lb largemouth. If you are in my area give me a call and i would be more than happy to meet you there.

My boaty is always ready (when it is nice) and my wife is always ready to get rid of me for a day.

I and the grandsons enjoy fishing that lake .We get a few nice gills and some cats out of it. It's fun to float the trees with the float tube. Mike

I have heard of this said lake, never fished it. My buddy brew and i always camped at lake darlin never had much luck there but man the beers and camping was fun. now instead of the darlin lake we like to go to camp and fish with the wif members at rock creek. good times and the beer is colder there.

You should give belva deer a try. I enjoy it a lot. Darling is good if you hit it at the right time. I live 5 miles from darling and have kind of learned when to hit it.

Kermit, ol Giller and myself plan to hit some of those southern Ia. lakes this year as the price of gas is going to be hanging around $3.00 before long and that will prohibit any long mileage trips to other states. Schoe

That is going to factor in for a lot of people this year. I feel very lucky to have so many places close by. Best of luck to all of you.

I can do that. Should be about a week or two if the weather stay nice.
