Croakers Saved the Day

The day before my daughter Annie was due to fly back to ILL we finally put her on some fish. Croakers saved the day and I am not talking about dinks. We had some up to a pound or better.

I don't know why so many people turn their noses up when we mention Croakers.

Our friends Mac and Sam, our neighbors from home were in a boat next to us and were just tearing them up also, so, we decided to have fresh Croakers for dinner at our house tonight along with all the fix ens.

I will say they were absolutely delicious and so would everyone else that ate with us.

Heres a few pictures of today. I think Annie has been watching too many fishing shows. Guess what else was biting, I think we caught 6 of those slimy buggers. Schoe

Congrats on the great day of fishing! I haven't been out in over a month. River is too high and lakes are still frozen here. I don't think they are frozen enough to walk on though. Thinking about taking a spud bar and knocking a hole in the ice and fish from one of the docks at the lake this weekend (if I can squeeze it in between jobs).
