I had a couple of hours to get out by myself today to the Inland Canal at White City landing north of Port St Joe.

This was the first time I had a chance to throw the Vibrashock Lures that I bought a couple of weeks ago. I put on the brown colored one that I thought may fool the Red Fish into thinking it was a Shrimp.

Believe me I haven't used artificials all that much so this was a new experience for me. I threw it into and around tree tops giving it a up and down pumping action in the 6 to 12 ft. of water.

On the fourth cast, Wam, I wasn't expecting that and set the hook in an undersized freight train, a Red Fish that was one inch short of keeper size which was released after I took a picture. About 20 minutes later and a sore arm from casting connected again with another one a little shorter than the first which also went back .

That was enough casting for a while so I went looking for some Croakers for the pan. In the next hour I caught a nice bunch of Croakers, enough for a couple of meals so I picked up the rod with the lure on and drifted the shore line throwing to the wood in the water.

I have been shocked by 110 lots of times and what I experienced with the next bite I had felt more like 440. That fish was a beautiful 23" Red which gave me one of the best fights I have ever had.

Here's a couple of today's pics. Thanks GotstaFish Tackle. Schoe

Rob, I am going to try the same lures when I get home for Walleyes in the Mississippi river and will post the results. I am sure they will tear up the Northerns and I will find out in May up in Wisconsin. Schoe

We were at our friends place down at Indian Pass between St. Joe and Appalatchacola and went surf fishing this afternoon for Whiting. It was a nice day to be out on the beach but a bit windy.

We caught a variety of different fish such as Whiting, Hardhead Cats, and several Stingrays and had an unexpected guest buzz us several times at a low alttitude. Here's some pics of today with our friends Mac and Sam.

Tomorrow I plan on giving the Vibrashock Lures another try for Red Fish if the rain don't keep us in the house. Schoe
