Hi again Mike
Duping earlier entry with some info for you, hope it helps

Personally have not fished on the east coast further North than
Carolinas but New York Fisheries people have a list of "Hot Lines"
with weekly updated fishing reports for various regions around the
State
You can find that here
http://www.dec.state.ny.us/website/d...hhotlines.html (http://www.dec.state.ny.us/website/dfwmr/fish/fishhotlines.html)

Should have specific info on what waters are hot an what they are
using to catch them

Weather in Early April can be fickle, but fishing can be as good as it
gets that time of year if weather cooperates

Sure wish you the best of luck, will be looking forward to having you
visit here often and definitely let us know how the trip goes, love
seeing pics too!

Tim

Stop in at www.grizzlygary.com and ask this same question. You'll get loads of solid and honest info from the members and Grizzly Gary himself.
He's based out of Jamestown NY and Warren Co. PA and covers that whole area like a glove.
Tell them TONY ON ICE sent you.........then duck ! :D

Great guys/gals with toms of knowlege in the area.

Most likely, Chatauqua Lake will be one of the destination where you'll end up. It's one of the best springtime, spawn and pre spawn fisheries in that area and is loaded with huge walleyes (unfortunately out of season untilthe 1st Saturday in May), big crappies and all kinds of panfish, bass and other finned creatures.
The people at Grizzly Gary .com have all the info you'll need including the best places to stay, eat and consume adult beverages.
