I think his was real close to the state record at about 8lbs. But you have to see the photo to realy know what I'm talking about (LOL) I know Tony had a computer crash... not sure if he lost the photo in the crash or not? Maybe Michigander has it? I've seen it a few times and forget to save it each time! stupid me!

TIMOTHA
Sorry I didn't notice your post here sooner. As you've probably noticed, I'm usually on line in the wee hours of the morning and am at times not seeing straight if ya know what I mean :p:p
Being in the music business today is no different than it was 30 years ago :D

Anyway, those perch in my avatar are just guppies in the 1 1/2 lb range and don't even compared to the perch pictures I just posted in the "Perch Forum" here. Make sure you're sitting down when yopu open that thread !:D:D

As for the big grass pickerel picture that Capt Kev mentioned, I'll see if I can come up with a copy and send it to you in a PM or e mail........Then, you can do what you want with it :p:D
The Pickerel was 7 lbs. 14 oz's and just 4 ounces off the state record of 8 lb's 2oz's. I had it mounted but the guy did a lousy paint job that didn't replicate the fish as a grass pickerel. He painted it as a chain pickerel and there's a huge difference in the colors.

I may just paint it flat black and put red LED lights in the eye ball sockets and mount it on the bow of my boat to ward off bad weather :)

I'll look for the picture when I get back from the river. Last day of walleye and pike season here in N.Y. and the big pigs are swimming around the mouth of the Oswego River where it empties into Lake Ontario.

I think that it is one of the dang biggest pickerals I have ever seen
bout caused me to tip over backwards in my chair at the site of it

Too bad the guy screwed up the mount the way he did:p
