We seem to be stuck on #117 members, what is the problem?lets all
make it our duty to mention this site to someone every day.we have
17 days till the end of the year, can we hit 150 by then?that is only 32
new ones to get by the 117 members we have,it does not seen to me
that it is to much to ask of anyone.

Hey schoe, I hope I dont offend any of you (lol) but since I see you have a bass fishin' section, I'll have to be putting in some input. Bass fishin' is my specialty.

Went down to the Ohio river today. Due to icy conditions, decided to bank fish at a hot water outlet. Caught 5 white bass and 21 skipjack. Not too shabby for a winter day...lol

Well that sounds good. I wish I could find them around home. Any size to them?
My son is tearing into my site and up grading everything to the max. He's been working on all this non stop for two days and thinks he will be all done by the weekend. By the way send me your site info again please. I'm getting that OFD worse than ever.
We will leave Neb. Sat. AM and will be home sometime that night. Schoe

Excuse my ignorance, but what the heck is a skipjack?

I think it is a type of freshwater herring. Oily like shad.

I am headed out again, Gonna try to put a few more skips in the freezer for a catfish tournament in February. This is just in case I can't locate the live bait there. I did some reading somewhere on the internet that talked about chumming with beef blood. Has anyone heard or done this? From what i could remember they were pretty vague as far as the process and technique.

I've tried that at Santee Cooper, didn't notice a difference one way or the other but then again, I was fishing for big Blues not specifically for Channel Cats. Couldn't hurt to give it a try but be careful as it's super messy stuff to deal with. You should be able to pick up a five gallon bucket at any local slaughter-house for about $20.00, just be there on butchering day....Ray

Hushpuppy, I more than welcome any input on Bass fishing. I try to come across to everyone that this site is for ALL fishermen no matter if you fish for Carp or Marlin, and everything in between. Thank you for your input, Schoe

I had another good day fishing. I didn't even try for any cats. I think the skips went back to deeper water. I did land 4 largemouth bass (too small to keep). I brought home 13 white bass with 2 of them topping 3#. The filets are soaking in the fridge. Fresh fish fry tomorrow is any of you all can make it...lol

Well I am new, just swam on over from catfishin forum, Schoe invited me (so if you don't like me, blame him - kidding). Anyway, I mainly fish for bluegill (ounce for ounce the best fight any fish can give). I went to school to study icthyology (but changed to environmental science and then to general biology) and worked for Iowa DNR fisheries for a few summers. So, basically I hope to learn alot from this site, but I will also give out my fair share of information, too.
