Snagging For Spoonbill

Snagging season opens on January 1st at lock 14 on the missippi river, is anyone going out?

Cavscout, You know I have lived in the Quad City area all my life and never intentionally snagged for spoonbills. I have snagged them while Walleye fishing in this area.

Years ago my family and I used to go to Table Rock Lake in Mo. at Easter break and snag for spoonbills in the James River when they would come up the river from the lake to spawn. Some where I have a picture of the ones we got the last time we went which was about 18 yrs ago. All but one weighed over 85 lb. which was as high as the scale would go. The "small" one only weighed 74 lbs. If I can find that picture I will post it.
