Plan on taking the future step son fishing for gills this Saturday. How small of a fly/jig would you suggest for these mid April fish?

1/124th oz. would be best but little 1/80 oz.hair or feather jigs would work too. . Tip w/wax worm . Might need to trim down hair of feathers a little closer to the hook.. I haven't tried 1/124 th oz plain jig w/wax worm but may work this early . Surface temp is 60- 62 degrees. Mike

So, if the water is high and clear in the strip ponds, and you can see bottom for the first 15 feet out, I suppose nothing is going to work, right???
The answer is: YOU WILL BE SHUT OUT RAY!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh well, at least the boy figured out why I wear a hat down there (TICKS!!!)
