Yep folks, I am now out of a job. Seems as if in technical support that doing your job, and taking enough calls isn't enough. The company I was with was sold, the new company then turned around and sold out 1 year later. Through this whole time, we had several new managers who got it in their heads that it should be a customer service call center rather than a technical support center. Ah well. When God closes one door, he opens another. I'm praying that I find the open door rather quickly.
So, if you know any companies in the NorthEastern part of the state that are looking for IT/Techie people, please let me know!
Good luck Tony. Around here the job siutation is getting worse unless your from across the border then there is lots of work. One company thats been here for 70 years or so will be shut down by jan loss of jobs at the plant alone 680 loss of jobs from other places that do business with the plant from what i am hearing is 200 A friend of mine who has been at the same comapny for 21 years lost his job few weeks ago new owners let him go because he cant speak spanish so its gonna get worse and worse as long as they keep letting this garbage go on.

thanks Merle. Looking for a job when you have 13 years of experiance, but no degree or certification is a little difficult.
oh yea they dont care about the experiance it seems all they want to see is that certifications and degrees they figure you got them you know what your doing and ive seen many educated in thier field that cant blow thier nose and cant do the job and seen many that dont have the certs and diplomas do the job perfect. I would hate to be out on the job market at my age wouldnt be a fun thing thats for sure at least with the shortage of drivers it wouldnt be hard for me to find a job aint no way id own a rig now days.

Well, I've got an interview scheduled for 10:30 in the morning. It'll be making a lot less than I was, but, heck, at this point a job is a job and I will praise GOD for it!
