The final public hearing on proposed rule amendments for snook will be held on Thursday, June 14, at the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission meeting in Melbourne.
The meeting is at the Radisson Suite Hotel Oceanfront on A1A.
If approved, the rule will cut the daily limit to one snook on the east coast and adjust the slot limits on both coasts.
On the Gulf Coast, the slot would be 28-33 inches, all the way south through the Keys.
On the Atlantic side, the slot would be 28-32 inches.
And the closures in December and February would be expanded to include the whole months
