"For many years I was in the golf equipment business. About 5 years ago, during a visit to a factory that produced high-quality graphite shafts for golf clubs, I noticed several fishing rods off in a corner."
"Now, golf is a great sport but, my first love is - and always has been - fishing. In fact, my very first job when I was 13 years old was selling bait to fishermen at a lake we lived near."
"Well, I couldn't help but ask the factory owner what the fishing rods were in the factory. Much to my surprise he informed me that his factory also produced fishing rods for many "big name" sporting goods companies. Well, it made sense to me - graphite shafts for clubs - graphite blanks for fishing rods."
"Now, I knew how much WE paid for golf shafts and, I knew the enormous prices that the "big names" charge for golf equipment. I was sure that fishing equipment was the same way - relatively inexpensive to make but, by the time it gets to the consumer, the prices are huge! Frankly, I had always wanted to try one of those super-high-quality graphite fishing rods but, since most of them sell for over $100, it was a little out of my price range."
"But, I had to ask. What would it cost to design and produce a line of super-high-quality fishing rods? Could I get these rods into the hands of the average fisherman for a good price?"
"The answer even shocked me. Yes - not easily - but yes. Working directly with the factory we were able to produce a line of rods that match (or exceed) the quality and performance of the BEST rods on the market". And the price? Over $100? Not even close!!!"
"It was time to quit my job and form a company that could bring these rods to the average person. Thus, the formation of Acadia Sports, and the introduction of our FIRST line of products - the F Series Rods and the P Series Rods. But, the work has not stopped there. As of today, we are continuing to work with factories all over the world to produce reels, tackle, line, and accessories that meet our basic criteria:"

I have graphite rods, wouldn't trade them, you can feel a small jig swimming, the touch and the strength of these rods has to be felt to be believed.
