* 10 Bearings. 9 ball bearings and one roller bearing. (Also shown as 9+1).
* Instant anti-reverse clutch system. Makes a huge difference in setting your hook. Keeps your line from spooling off once you get a strike and prevents the reel handle from turning in reverse when you hook a fish. No line play.
* Anti-reverse lock lever mounted on the rear gear housing cover.
* The rotor (main drive for the spool) is counter-weighted for balance to reduce wobble in the reel at higher speeds.
* The front drag is fine threaded to provide precision drag control.
* A gear ratio of 5.1:1 (5.3:1 on our ES-100 reel) to provide a good balance between line retrieval speed and control.
* Anti-twist line roller prevents line curling.
