I was going to post some pics of my 9 year old and his recent Hybrid fishing trip and you dont have a Striper/Hybrid forum.

Striper fishing is extremely popular here at Clarkhill lake and I would think that it would be a popular forum for this site.
Thanks

OK we in the right spot now, lets get some chat an pics
I haven't caught any Stripers, but the wipers run hard here in the spillway in the spring an they are getting BIG

Tell ya one thing, a Wiper will flat let you know it is there, I think lb for lb
they are toughest fish there is
They will definitely "play" on top of the water like a skipping rock

We caught these this past weekend on Clarkhill lake in Ga. My 9 year old pictured here caught most of them. Most were caught during a heavy rain. Thanks for creating this forum.

Thanks for posting them Photos! Those are the kind of pictures that just make a persons day

I know your Son had a BLAST
I have never caught them in res or lake, always been in the river
mostly pretty shallow and rocky an they seem like they stay up
in the air fighting you more than in the water in that spillway

Wow your kid had a heck of a haul! My stripers I caught were on vacation in Maryland last summer.. one was 18" not sure of the weight, my other and my personal best, was 24", 7 lbs. What a rush catching those things in a moving boat while trolling with an umbrella rig. Good fight, but, I won! :icon_biggrin:

First pic is the 18" second my 24"

Sharon,
As you know they put up a great fight. Pound for pound they are hard to beat.

Gofish,

I love it when they school to the top, you can really load the boat. We caught ours trolling artificial bait.

When they are on the feed they are agressive ain't they?

Seems like unless it is bigger than them they will try to hammer it
