Anyone have any Crappie fishing out there? The last few weeks, hnd, my nephew, and myself have begun fishing out there.
We found one hole two weeks ago pretty much straight across from the boat launch. We had numerous bites, but where only able to produce one keeper. We're using a jig/minnow setup just off the bottom between 10'-15'. There appears to be some sunken trees and palletts along the bottom.

Yesterday we went out and it was pretty much the same story. We did move down the shoreline a bit and had another spot where we had several hits, but nothing was caught.

I don't know why I haven't fished Lake George at all in the last 30 some years. I guess the grass is always greener somewhere else.

Back then we caught some very nice Bullheads and a few Channel Cats. I can't say I ever caught a keeper Bluegill or Crappie out of there but have talked to a few people over the years that claim at times they do get some nice ones.

I will take my ole buddy Giller out there as I swear he can smell em. Schoe

Go up in any bay and run your jigs through the tips of the weeds and you will get them. At night run lights in the water and you will get a bunch.
