Maxxum catfish rod

Has any one had any experiance with a maxxum cat rod?

They are a heavy action 1 piece rod between 6.5 foot and 7 foot. went to Ebay and a fella is selling them for 10 bucks a piece, w/ 13 for shipping unless you buy more and the you just add on 2.50 each additional.

I never have heard of them. For that price it might be worth trying one. You wouldn't be out much if it didn't turn out all that great.

I checked his auction on Ebay and from the pictures they look like a decent rod. If you want them...better hurry. He is down to 2 left.
Note: I find it very very unlikely that the Wels catfish in the picture was caught on one of those rods. Exspecially since he is from Idaho...lol

theyre a purty good rod,mighty big diameter wise though.eric an his dad (the friends of mine in the other cabin at ky) have a few an like em.ifn ya cant git those im usin diawas "beefstick" rods. liked the first one so much i got 4 now.handle 80 lb braided no problems,20 bucks a piece cant beat em

well i ended up buying 4 rods 2 6.6 and 2 7 footers. hope they are decent rods. The wife wanted one to try out. now just have to figure out what reel to use. And get my butt out on the river to catch something with them once they show up.

Can't build a pole barn if i am fishing. man's gotta have a place to put his boat and tractor. and all his fishing gear. 30 x 45 aught to do it, i hope.

well I got the rods today 4 of em to try out. one of these days before long i'll have to try them out. i dun't know if'n they are any bigger in dia than my ugly sticks. look pretty good for a cheap rod. about 15 buxs a piece w/ shipping

Only way to go.... Ugly Stick Tigers with 209 or 309 Penns.Got me some of that Cajun Red line on 'em 50lb test.. Got hung up the other day and had to tie the line to the boat and crank up the 90 hp Yamaha just to break it loose, then all I did was bend the hooks..Ya done heard all the stories from gofish.... he ain't got that big'un in the boat yet with what he's usin....
