Price on the Rods-(Buy one get one free offer!!!) $79.95 *Includes a rod carrying case with each rod of very high quality, hard construction, would protect rods from anything short of very very heavy blow to case** Given quality of rods this price is EXCEPTIONAL!

Don't know how long this buy one get one will run, allowing you to pick two rods of your choice at that price, but it is hard for me to imagine anyone who values seriously high quality rods with sensitivity to feel jig hit a weed not taking advantage of this offer, either on P series or F series rods!

Price on the Reels-$49.95 Each **Reels come with carrying bag, and an extra machined aluminum spool as part of the deal** Given Quality of Reels, This price is EXCEPTIONAL!

The first thing unpacked were the reels:
I have always believed that it is far better to buy something of high quality one time instead of buying something "cheaper" and having it fail when I am fishing and having to replace it over and over.
In most cases when you buy something reall nice, you can just tell by the feel of it in your hands that something is well built, these reels fit that bill.
They are machined aluminum, and have a beautiful heft and balance to them, and they feel GOOD.

The rods came in a very nice hard rod case
The 6 footer I matched with the ES-100 Reel, found the reel just a bit on the heavy side for that rod
Slightly out of "balance" but still very comfortable feeling combination
Spooled with 6ll Berkley Trilene XL, which is my favorite "open water" line, will handle most anything in water where you can play a fish
This rod and reel combo will handle double digit fish easily

7 footer matched with the ES-300 Reel, perfect balance for this rod,
one of them you can put on your finger above the reel seat and it will
sit level
Spooled with the same Berkley Trilene XL, and I guarantee you that if
I am in open water and don't get hung in something this rod and reel with
6lb test line will handle very big fish with the right drag settings

Simple slib bobber rig with very small #8 aberdeen hooks, as we were going for Bluegills just to get initial feel for the equipment, used small slip bobbers with 1/16 ounce weights under them

When we got out to our spot, found the water up high enough that there was no good "sitting" down on the bank, so did our fishing from the little dock by boat ramp.

Area teaming with very small gills, which the kids wasted no time in catching with the small hooks and "worm bites".

Off the dock about 35 yards in open water is a rock pile about 5 foot down, both the combos were EASILY able to cover that distance with the slip bobbers and the 1/16 oz weight
There are some very nice bluegill that hang out there, as pictures from Alex and Andreu show
Were using the small hooks because were doing CPR during this test

With more weight and casting cut bait or live bait for channels these combos will no doubt cast a "country mile"
Reel is exceptionally smooth, Bobby said "buttery" first time he retrieved
Drag is OUTSTANDING and silky smooth as well, everything about the
reel is HIGH QUALITY, I have always used Shimano because I found them
to be the best I could get, and these reels are every bit as good, perhaps
better

Rods are as sensitive as any I have ever used, you could actually feel the gills pecking at the bait through the slip bobber before the bobber started dancing around out there

Rods are Light and Medium, so the Gill's were not going to put a lot of "bend" in them but given the incredible sensitivity of the rods, you could definitely feel every little twist and jerk those big gills were giving

Was kinda "neat" , you would set hook in big gill, and you would not get
lot of bend in the rod, but "feel" transmitted to your hand on reel seat
was like you were fighting them on Ultra light pole
Have never had a rod in my hands that matched these for sensitivity

The little lake had nice water clarity (4 foot down could see cabbage growing round the dock) that Little Bass we caught came into the area to feed on the baby gills there

I got no doubt a person was to go out when the sun went down that the big channels I know are in that area are moving in hard on that underwater weed line

Can't wait to feel something double digits on those rods and reels
Even the 6 footer with the ES-100, got no doubt it will handle a very big fish!

Highly recommend these rods and reels, price is exceptional for the quality delieverd, an on buy one get one free, means you and a buddy can invest 40 bucks and get a P series rod that you won't BELIEVE!
