Summer days were spent plowing the fields, baleing hay, cutting wheat and barley, bucking hay and straw bales, shoveling grain and eating fresh kernals. Winter months were spent with the pillows and blankets on top of the heater register as my room farthest from the heater and there fore the coldest. Snow balls and sleds were the tickets then.
