Well, I recieved the F-Series 2 pc. Spinning Rod I won in the contest just a short while ago. I must say it is a REALLY nice rod an I'm very glad I won it. It's really light, seems to be strong, and flexible. It's a little longer than I'm used to, but I'm sure I'll adapt to it easily. I don't have a reel for it yet, hope to have one soon so I can give it a reel test. But here's the scoring as of right now.

Weight: 9/10 - It's really light for the length/size
Length: 8/10 - Like I said, a little longer than I'm used to (7')
Handle: 6/10 - I don't like the cork much, it doesn't appear to be the norm.
Strength: 8/10 - I didn't try bending it, but it does appear to be fairly strong.

Well, that's all of a review I can offer at the moment, more to come once I get a reel and get out to give it a good testing.:icon_biggrin:

Thanks again Where I Fish, Acadia Sports, and everyone else who made this contest possible. I really enjoy my prize, thanks. :icon_cool:

Matt,
Most companies don't go with cork anymore because of the cost of using it,
I prefer cork handles to the synthetic but I grew up with them

Just has a much better feel to me, especially when you are using lures or bouncing jigs, think it transmits the lighter bites and bumps much better than the synthetic
but probably a matter of what you have gotten used to

The graphite is light but that rod will handle some BIG fish for you,
I am looking forward to what you think of it once you get a chance to go out
an put it to the test
Graphite rods are really great

Sorry for such the long delay on the review on this rod. Well, I did finally get a chance to get out and give it a test. I really liked the rod a lot. I did probably around 50 casts with it. No catches were to be found at all that day. Though, I did get a snag and then a bird's nest directly AFTER that, though, so I just switched back to my ultralight. But overall the rod had good casting, strength, and weight to it. Though, for me, it was a little to 'flimsy' it wobbled when shaken. I'm just not accustomed to that style of fishing, I suppose. I'm bass, and catfish basically, so yeah. Hope to get out and do some walleye fishing with it though in a little while. Thanks again to Lee, Tim and Schoe for making this contest possible. And everyone else here at WhereIFish for being here to make it fun.
