My favorite young neighbor, Jordan, who is like a grand child to me went out with Giller and I tonight on Rock River for an 1 1/2 hours and found where the Channels were feeding. It was an old high water haunt of mine that usually produces during high water. I was right, they were there.

We were using Chicken Liver chunks and the bait no more than hit the water and Jordan claimed a nice 16 ingh Fiddler which made it to the live well. The action went that way pretty much untill it started to get dark. Jordon kept Giller and myself busy baiting the hooks and Taking fish off.

We kept 8 Channels from 12 to 17 inches which will make a fine meak later on this winter. I think we threw 6 back to grow up

We hooked up our running lites and blew a fuse so we pulled anchor and headed for the dock before it got too dark to see.

One thing I will do in case this happens again is to have an extra set of portable lights that run on D batterys. They don.t cost that much and we could have stayed later.

Here a few Pics from tonight. Schoe

It was sure fun watching little Jordan hopping from pole to pole.:party0045: lol
I was studying his style, and think it is time for him to advance on to the next level. I discussed it with Schoe, and think it is time to get him fitted with a brand new pair of bibs.:icon_cool: :party0011::party0011::party0011:.
Now I realize this is a big advancement for a boy raised in the city, but he is a pleasent lad to be in the company of. His eyes light up at the very mention of Soupy, but we can't hold that against him. :confused0024:He is fortunate to have Schoe helping him along in the right direction.
If Jordan ties into a biggun we'll need a rope tied to him to keep him in the boat. :confused0068:Mike

Great Job Schoe.

Real simple Soupy, get two grown men to bait and cast your poles while you sit back and reel in the fish.

For those who have never met Jordan, he is a special young man. He will do anything for Schoe. That smile of his is unforgettable.

Good Job Schoe and Giller for making a young man happy.:party0011:

Ifin' I had two grown men to bait my pole and cast it out for me.....it'll be 'cause I'd be too drunk to reel it back in.....
Now 'giller this here almost made a tear come to my good eye: 'giller said: Now I realize this is a big advancement for a boy raised in the city, but he is a pleasent lad to be in the company of. His eyes light up at the very mention of Soupy, but we can't hold that against him.
Now, I'm gonna have to come up next year, ifin' nuttin' else , just to meet that lad.....
