Anyone gone fishing lately? How did you do?

I won't get out till this weekend, though hopefully I catch something.

Probably will catch a couple tiny gills and throw them under a float and see what grabs them. Just throw it in a rod holder on the bank and work on catching some gills in the mean time. I've got a 5 gallon with a bubble box so I'll just keep them in that.

Hoping for something. My gf isn't going to fish tomorrow, she wants to check it out and see if she is gonna like it (I've only taken her to a pier on the coast) and then she's gonna get a license if she wants.

I picked up some floats earlier, some 4/0 circle hooks (for the tiny bluegills under a float) and I have a couple of pieces of PVC I'm gonna set both my gill rod and my other one in there and just sit back and relax in my chair. Might throw some spinnerbaits around here and there hoping for bass.

Hoping to catch at least a couple large bluegills or crappie maybe a bass if I'm lucky.

Well, you asked !
Last time on the water for us was last Sunday....
Fishin' not real good......had trouble findin' bait ( dang 20 and 30 lb stripers kept runnin' them all off...(dang scale fish).
Did get in some 3 to 4 inch yeller tails (shad) , really too small for what we were after but, did work for a while....
Ole Lyndell had a bad day..... :) I smoked him... ( with , what little we did catch) 1-16 lb Blue... 3- 2 to 3 lb channels and a batch of fiddlers for the wife. As I said those dang scale fish were runnin' everything off that day....
Buddy of mine (Beaver Miller) says he hit the dam the same weekend and caught over 500 lbs in three days....Now, Beaver is a good fisherman and he's pretty dang good at them "fish stories" too but, if he says he was catchin' , he was catchin'...'cause the man is lazier than I am and won't go fishin' ifin' they ain't bitin'....Ole Beaver fishes close to the dam ( like right up on it) I won't do that 'cause I seen too many people that has been pulled outta that river while fishin' too close to the dam...But, that's where the fish are.....I reckon for my part, they just gonna have to just stay there.

Yah I know, but I don't just wanna stand outside when its raining even if I have a poncho on. The only time I deal with bad weather is when I'm out deer hunting, cause I can only do that a few days a year, plus I can sit in my nice heated blind and relax.

rain and fishin, that a good combo. rainin and huntin not so good means it's a little to warm aroun here.

my fishin rod is sum sorta fiber material, on the other hand my shotgun is metal. i guess i would rather fish than hunt in the rain.
