I haven't seen many location tags that show TN. I was wondering if there were any other TN people on here. If so, have you fished Percy Priest Lake (http://www.tennesseelakeinfo.com/percypriest/) in Nashville? This is a nice lake with lots of coves and crannies.

The TWRA's report for Feb. 17, 2006 shows this:

Crappie: Creel Clerk Al Bartelotto reports that crappie are still being taken on Percy Priest. He has also received some reports of crappie being taken on Old Hickory. Fish over brush piles or stake beds and you should find crappie.

Bass: Priest is continuing to show sings of an improving bass bite. Jigs, spinner baits, and even crankbaits are catching fish. Look shallow for the bass, especially on back-to-back sunny days with temperatures in the 50s or 60s. Watch for bass chasing shad.

Hybrids: The hybrid bite on Priest is pretty good too. Creel Clerk Al Bartelotto has seen anglers with fish around Smith Springs and some nice ones. Local anglers report catching a half-dozen to 10 hybrids a day on live bait. Watch for gulls and schooling shad and fish around or beneath them.

Steam Plant Bass: Local anglers have reported good bass catches around the Steam Plant when the plant is generating. . That could bode well for this weekend as the air temperature plummets and the steam plant goes into serious operation. Take crankbaits and soft plastic topwater baits like Flukes.

So I'm hoping to get up there soon. Anyone up that way fishing this time of year? Are the reports pretty accurate?
