Here is a great little picture resizer, that is IMO better and easier to use than even the Power Toy from Windows,
Best part is it is Vista compatable for those members that have upgraded to Vista or are planning to in the near future

It is called the VSO image resizer

All you need to do is download it and install, just takes a few seconds
and then when you right click on any picture in your computer your
box which opens will have an option for

VSO IMAGE RESIZER

Once you click that you will get a little box with a drop down titled
"Profile" Open that and set it for 640x480 (which is the max size you can
use in attachments here on the forum)

The program will be set to automatically "create copies" (which is good you get resized pic and save the origional hi resolution pic) and it will be set to save the new resized pic in the same folder as the origional

After you have it set for 640x480 all you have to do is hit OK and the program will resize your picture and it will save it in the same folder as the origional and you can post that newly resized picture on the forum!

Attachment below shows a picture of the VSO box that comes up when you right click and select that option for your picture

You can Download the VSO Image resizer here:

I like this so much I took out the power toy and installed this instead, I think it is a better program and even easier to use
This program is optimized for windows 2000,XP or Vista

I used the wrong picture. It is one that had been resized before. I'll try this one. Mike

Wow Tim that has to be the easiest photo resizer I have ever used. Thanks alot for sharing it with us. The only thing that would make it better is if it had a choice for KB size. Here are a couple pics that I resized with this program.

That download is pretty slick.:cool0003:
Two steps to resize your photo. Here's my test below. Caught this guy (and quite a few of his brothers) a few miles off the coast of Jupiter, FL last summer.

Glad you all like it

Have to thank Mike (IllinoisGiller) for suggesting finding a nice program that was Vista
compatible

Jason I agree, but with the settings default at 80% ratio and that size set to 640x480 the
forum is tweeked to 100kb size limit and I think most any picture should fit into that dimension
and file size

I kinda took the program an set the forum to match with it so everyone can have a two step
resize post type option if they want to use it

Mike (troutrageous) that there would look good on a plate with some serious fina dene sauce
as sashimi!
