View Full Version : Boat For Sale
I have a 1989 Bayliner 17' with an 85hp Force w/ T & T, Cabela's (Minn-Kota) 54 lb bowmount / hand control trolling motor, Humingbird LCD Fishfinder, and Escort trailer with spare tire for sale.
This boat has been customized for fishing. The outboard power head and lower unit were rebuilt by a Memphis dealer in 2004, I am in the process of installing a brand new Mercury/Force trim pump and motor. The trailer tires were new in March 2005.
The boat was "redesigned" for fishing when I replaced the floor in 2004.
The boat is in Walnut, MS, about 45 minutes from Memphis, TN. I am asking $3000.00, but will negotiate. I have pics available if you are interested.
(The reason I am selling is I have a NEW boat ordered that is "a little" bigger ------- details when it gets here)
Thanks,
T

thats a heck of a price tee. motor work cost almost that much didnt it?
yep! The powerhead was $1500.00, the lower unit was $400.00 and the new trim pump/motor list for almost $600.00.
$299.00 for the trolling motor, 2 deep cycle batteries $130.00, 1 cranking battery $40.00..... the list goes on and on. Not to mention all the "love, sweat, blood, and tears" in my labor.
It will make someone a GREAT boat.
I am getting a new boat for 2 simple reasons.......... My wife "said" I could, and My wife "said" I could........ nuff said!

And for "celebrity" value, it was the boat used last October to "rescue" Schoe........ that ought to be worth LOTS!
Lots from those of you that pay me to tell the "story" of why he needed rescuing, and LOTS MORE from Schoe for me to keep my big mouth shut!!!!!!!!

Its not nice to fool with the one that may be fixing your meals in April. Cooks can do some damage to your food. Oh!! Wait!! you cook also. Schoe
I can live a long time on viennies and beanie-weinies................
And you know I would NEVER "embellish" the details...

howd you modify her Tee? did you do any glasswork? i see you use driftmaster rod holders if your interested i can send you pics of an adjustable blacklight mount i made. goes right in an empty base and gets the light(and bugs) away from the boat. i also use it on shore
I glassed in a new floor (3/4 " ext plywood), put in new blue marine carpet throughout. where the rear jump seats were is now a deck, underneath are the 2 trolling motor batts (L) and the cranking battery (R). I built a boxfor storage where the driver's seat was and installed a pedestal base with seat for the driver. I removed the passenger seat and put a pedestal base there for the passenger. I made a deck in the bow area with a pedestalbase for fishing and storage hatches on the right and left. there is also storage under the deck in the middle accessed from the cockpit.
Since there was no flat area to mount the trolling motor, I made a mini-deck on the bow. The trollin motor wiring is #6 with the 2 batteries hooked up for 12 volts to the front. I have run the trolling motor for several days without a charge, and never run them down.
There are 6 driftmaster rod holders on the stern, and 4 additional bases on the bow.
WOW! I forgot how much time I had put into her....... lol
And to answer a couple of questions I have recieved, yes I will consider partial trades and cash.
I am looking for a 20 hp short shaft outboard for my small boat. And I would consider a 16' or so aluminum with outboard as partial trade if someone wanted to trade up.
Thanks for the interest,
T
