Keith, do you ever use any type of rod holder in the shack between prospective fish? Mike

yes I have a few the clip on the side of a 5 gallon pail or milk crate which I have for gear anyway.

Yea, I have a couple of those around here somewhere. I haven't found any that I really like. Some won't pack and some just aren't handy. Those bucket ones are the easiest to pack that I have seen though. Mike

I have a couple of those. This year I have been carying a couple of the heavier bent wire ones that set on the ice. They are nice but I don't hardly ever use them. This season I have been on the move till I find a place where I don't have time to work two rods. I'd bet I have caught less than a dozen fish on a second rod this year, but I have tripped over a rod holder in the shack more times than that. :confused0024:lol

After using Mikes rod holder last week and seeing a few more on here I have an idea for a new concept for a snap on for a bucket. I will make a few after Christmas if they work I will post photos and if they don't I will delete this post. Schoe

heres the wire one that sits on ice,
these were like 1.99 each at gander Mtn

I've been using the heavier one that sits on the ice for the few times I make use of one.
I just found a holder I might use some. I have a pair of those large fishing chairs that I got from Gander Mountain. I set up the shack in the shop and happened to think that the chair has a holder on it. I just might be able to make that work. Mike

I've got that one plus a different version.
I'm not a fan of a holder.
Seen too many rods go down the hole.
If my hand is not on the rod ,it's reeled up.
