Ice report????

anyone know how the ice is today???im stuck at home with my 2 kids, wont be able to make it out!!!!
I was hoping to make it out tommorow, not sure what the codition will be after all this rain, some snow/ice coming tonight!!!!!!

Made it out to Morrison,IL to a lake this mornin, was a little nervous abou the ice so didint make it up there till about 9am fished for couple hrs, few small gills and several small bass.

Ice was a good 3inches plus 1inch slush/ice on top, wind was bitter cold and freezing that top layer quick.

You've got more salt than I do Jason. I considered running out to the canal to see if anyone is out, but doggone it is cold in that wind. I think if a person went through with this wind, there wouldn't be a long time suffering.
I do think we are making quality ice now again. The ice that got chalky was saturated good with the rain and now is making again FAST .

fished in morrison, IL ,rockwood state park again today 830am-11am, about 20 gills 2 crappie, heading out back to the canal again tommorow!!
