Does anyone use a glow stick for fishing or to attract bait fish ?
I use a 3ft glow stick that I hook up to my boat battery and can set any depth up to 50 ft. and it works pretty good after about 30 to 40 minutes after I drop it in. I can catch crappie or perch or sandies while I'm catfishing at the same time. I've had real good nights and then I've had REAL GOOD nights.
Let me know if it works for you.

Catfishirv,
the light you speak of is that one of the evening secret lites that are for sale on the internet? I tried a smaller one (12") but it didn't seem to do any good. How far down in the water does it have to be suppended to work. I dropped my small one down around 3' deep. Maybe I need to try deeper.

Yes it is one of those evening secret lights. It is about 3 ft long.
Alot of it depends on how deep the water is where you are fishing on how deep you want to put it. I fish in some pretty deep waters. If I'm fishing in 15-20ft of water, I will put the light down about half that depth... the light is VERY BRIGHT, I think the longer it is in the water the better it works. It will attract the bait fish but sometimes it take about 30-45 minutes for good results. Yes, I paid the big bucks for it but they do have some that have been returned and cost a little less $$ but well worth it to me.;)
