How to work a flasher ice fishing

Mallard came up & we went to BSL only to find we could not mark a fish.After a few hours we bagged it.
There were other spots to fish,but we were dragging a heay porty so we went back to town and got the quad and headed for a different lake.
The fish were there only nothing very big.
I did however get some good video of how to do a lift with a flasher.
The bottom was at about 11 o'clock or what they call the leading edge.
the fish were stack for anywhere from 2-4 feet up from the bottom.
Watch to see how we drop into them,pull out and trigger the fish to give chase.

Nothing huge ,but we did catch a decent dinner and sometimes action is better than no action..

I need to make sure my brother sees this one . I gave him my old vex and I haven't found the book or video for it yet.
It seems so simple to me now but I do recall that it was confusing at first.
I seen on another site a neat comparison about fishing with a vexilar or marcum. They said to try driving a car with a blindfold on. That's like fishing without a flasher in unfamilar water:evilgrin0039:. lol Mike

Thanks Keith, but I found the video and manual---sort of. lol Went to take the junk out of the back of the van so I can go wet a line ,and there set the box for my new Vexilar. It is, of course, complete with the video and manual. It is a new last year model so no real changes except brighter display. Hope to fish with him on wed. and will give them to him then. Mike
