Schoe,

Are you away for the winter or just on vacation? A friend of ours takes an RV down and stays a few months every winter. They've found a camp site with a nice square dancing group (though I'd never be caught dead doing it, others seem to enjoy the heck out of it). Good luck with the move and getting back online!

Well the move went OK thanks to my buddy from Canada that was a real life saver when it came to hauling the boxes and suit cases of sinkers that my wife packed. Of coarse every place near the beach is up in the air and that means steps.

My son and his wife came for a couple of days after a business trip to New York City. We took them for a nice tour of the area waters of St Joe Bay and the Inland Coastal Waterway which I think they really enjoyed then a nice dinner out last night then to a motel close to the Airport in Panama City as their flight left at 5:00 AM this morning for Omaha, Neb.

The last two times out fishing I have been skunked so I will try to remedy that today and will report later. Schoe

Schoe,

I'm glad you made it and are settled in okay. Are you taking a boat out (personal or tour) or fishing off a pier?

I keep saying I can't wait until I retire. Maybe then I can have some uninterrupted fishing time. LOL! What better way to wake up every morning...ready to go fishing!

schoe maybe you need to head back north, caught white bass yesterday morn every other cast from 6 to 10 am. my shoulders killing me today though.they averaged 12 to 14 inches problem is its still COLD up here lol. glad to see your move went ok

Thanks Fisherbuddy, the move went pretty good.
I did bring my boat down this year and will continue to do so in the future. I haven't pier fished this year yet but have in the past especially back when we would bring the kids down for spring break to the "Mad House" Panama City Beach Fla. or Orange Beach, Ala. and not bring the boat.

We booked a place in Mexico Beach Fla. the other day for three months next winter that is 200 yds. from a very nice pier which I will probably night fish from quite often. Schoe

Hey Gofish, those whites sound like a good time and lots of action. I'm going somewhere today but haven't made up my mind where yet. Some of the guides haven't done too well around here in the last few days so I don't feel too bad. When I showed my son and his wife around yesterday I talked to a half doz. of the regulars on the inland waterway and they had nothing also. But, things will change directly. I'm anxious for the Flounder to start biting which should be some time in the next two weeks.
Well, I will see you soon in Ky. about 6 weeks. Schoe

Schoe, they have been catching lots of fish right at the T on the intercoastal. Lots of small trout, whitting, croakers, reds and other small junk fish. There are a few nice ones mixed in though. I got a 20" trout yesterday and we have been getting slot size reds almost every trip out. I'm heading out this afternoon.

Thanks Muskeytale, we didn't go up that far up yesterday and turned around by the barge with the big drum or something like that on it. It looked like there were several boats up that way. Will probably wait till Mon. to try. Thanks again, Schoe

Congrats on the strong possibility of moving. I'm sure you will miss a lot of things in Fla. What I will miss the most when I go back home is the great people that I have met here during our stay this winter. I am sure you will feel the same. I am already looking foreword to next winter when we return and you folks will have to come down and visit. Schoe

im not gone yet, when i have the check in my hand, then you can call
me gone, and like you read,we have a place to come and visit for a couple
of months in the winter.just think no more hurricanes,no more high car
insurance premiums, not to mention mobile home insurance premiums, there
are a lot of things i would miss about florida those are the things that i
wont miss at all.I hope we do get a chance to meet and do some fishing,
some time,it is always good to meet new people, and enjoy a good day
of fishing.before retireing to florida all of our free time was spent on
LAKE BARKLEY,it was our home away from home, being an old hillbilly,
i sure do miss that area, and the slow pace living,i have more cars pass
my house a day than they have in the whole town of eddyville.:D
