Fished the canal today about 930 am to 1pm cought small gill about 10am nothing else over an hour, moved about 6ft further away from bank than I was, cought 6 in 15 min period about 12:30, 2 crappie all rest gills, kept 2 crappie and 2 gills other were pretty small.
Was about 4 vhicles when I got there, few more in an out during mid afternoon. than about 5 or so vehicle when I left..
Talked to a feller as i was leaving said they had about 50 over 7inches, said a good spot to fish just have to find em!!! That was my first time there..headin back tuesday mornin.
Story for my large crappie in pic.... got himup to hole and as I
pulled out of hole came off hook and fell right back in hole,
fish went about half way down hole in water and I was mad....well he decided to swim as soon as he hit water and back up the hole
he came came half out of water and half on the ice so...I dropped to my knees and hands went under him in the wter to get him out, so ended up landin him anyway..
