Isaak Walton ice contest!

Too many rumors floating on the contest so went to the Geneseo newspaper office and found a paper with all the info. in it thanks to reporter Dan D Outdoors by Dan Dauw.
13th Annual Geneseo Isaak Walton Public Ice Fishing tournament. Saturday, Jan. 19
LOCATION-- Hwy 82, little over a mile north of Geneseo IL
A country breakfast will be served in the Ike's Lodge at 7:00 am at the park and a soup lunch will also be served.
Contest registration is only $5.00 per person.
There will be lots of prizes
Waxies will be available for purchase.
Must have valid IL license.
2 pole limit per person
fishing boundries-Hwy 82 up to dam
No holes drilled before 8:30 am
Fish till 12:15 pm --weigh in at 12:30 pm
No fish left on ice- take them home
Important-NO ALCOHOL BROUGHT TO AND / OR
CONSUMED AT THIS EVENT.
This is a single person contest-NO TEAM FISHING
I won't bother to list all the seperate prize catigories assuming that they will be listed there.
How much more could we ask for? Food, short contest ,and more food. lol

National weather service temps....HIGH of 5degree yes I said a HIGH of!!!!!!!!thats ganna be a cold mornin.......can we say "Heater in my shanty"....just might thin down the compatition though...only the serious ones out there...unless your like me and sit in a shanty with a heater!!!

mike can better explain im sure, but its just outside geneseo on 84, small little picnic park, very nice down there<< sure thelll be signs along the road..

It is 1.76 miles north of Geneseo on hwy. 82.
If there is any confusion, go to mapquest,com - End point is Issak Walton League Lodge, 22870, Hwy 82 and it will print a map from your house to the park. (from there you can get directions to the nearest warm place that serves adult beverages. ) Mike

The son-in-law and I (he is the one with the shelter and heater) were going to come down but I got a call this morning from the youth wrestling group up at Savanna and they want us up there to print shirts for their tournament. (we have a complete portable screenprint operation) With this cold snap I should get out on the ice soon though.

Nuttin was caught that was worth taken a pic of. specially by me i catch'd nuttin. in 3.5-4 foot of water wish i had a tape measure with me i could've told ya exact depth to the 1/8 inch

I left home without my camera, yeah they were a tad on the small side my 10 weighed in at around 940 grams wich converts to I dont know how many, if evan 1lb.

schoe took some footage on the video cam but hasnt got it loaded up yet...not sure if he knows how. think hes ganna have tim or annie help him..

Picture taking at Issak Waltom was a comidy of errors. Shoe thought I was taking pictures and I thought he was.:confused0024: Turned out he was making movies and I was busy fishing -----and losing. lol
