BlackDog and I got out this morning. It was several degrees below zero with pressure rising well over the 30 mark.
We hit BSL and did not mark a fish.
So we made a big move to a different lake on the other side of Palisade.
Getting to the main hole in the lake we marked many suspended fish.
We tried several baits simulating meat, nuggie, waxies, plastics.Nothing worked outside of T.H.E. Jig.We caught better then a dozen crappies.
The problem was they were all small.
I mean really small.

after a few hours of catching these small fish we moved to the other side of the lake.
That proved to be a good move.
Immeadiatly we caught nicer fish.

Since BlackDog had to drive back to Mpls we broke a bit early.
We came to my place and I shared a bit of how I tye jigs since BD ties as well.Did some powder painting too.
BD was great to have up.
It was fun to share with him how I lift fish and we shared our ideas about the fishing industry as a whole.
BlackDog's main power in fishing is in stream trouting which I'd love to get schooled on some day.
Thanks for giving me the day BD,I had a blast meeting you.

Great report Keith as always and looks like you met another good freind and fishing partner for the future to come...adapting to the conditions and letting the fish tell you what they want and that is the name of the game and mobility is key when times get tough like they have been and are like as of late...:party0045:

It's been the strangest year by far that I can remember Kevin.
I'm hoping to have a great late ice month starting mid March.
Then I have a few small lakes I want to try out that are new this spring.

Appreciate the videos and report Keith, been a tough year overall with those high pressures throughout the midwest. Mike
