Just got word... My fishin' buddy... Ole Lyndell ( with two L s) needs the " Line Pawl" and " Carriage Screw" for his Garcia 6000 if ya got a extra one layin' around let us know...

I'll have to chase Ole Lyndell down again... He's a workin' 24/7 at the mines and it's hard for me to see him right now. ....I'll call his ole lady and tell her that he needs to come and get some money that I owe him and that'll bring him a runnin' (no, I really don't owe him but, he can't remember that long back)

all them old reels are the reworked??? working conidition or just for parts??? i have never had one but would like to try a cpl if workin in great cond and priced right!!!

some of them are rebuilt but most of them are good fishing reels no problems. with clicks or with out and also we can put cliucks on the old ones.let me know what size 5000-5000c 5000d 5500 6000-6000c-and can get parts if i dont have them zim-cat

I dunno? :confused0024: I ain't never had one of them others. I've even got two Abu Garcias that just has "f.i.v.e." on 'em... Good reels but, a little light for my kinda fishin'.

a 5000 is just red a 5000c is black the dif is 5000c has a click 5000d is a direct drive reel with no drag but 75% of all of reels now have clicks because people like them for cats most people buy a new side plate with a click or have one put on there are a lot of homemade jigs to drill a hole just like the factory makes them i have one .also the different is spool size the biger # ill post some pics of reels . zim-cat

ya know guys it is great ta read this thread. if'n my reels break i throw em in the junk and buy a new one wish i could find one i liked enuff ta rebuild reckon they just doubt build real good ones anymore that ya don't have ta pay $250 dollars for. i cry when i have ta spend $50 $60 for one that only last five ta six years

dipper yer better off rebuildin....still got my first 5000 from when i was a boy.been rebuilt more times than i can count.holds up better than some of the new ones to use an abuse
