lake vermillion again 3/16/08

hadnt planned on it but hit the lake again today...was outside messin around and there was absolutely NO wind.thats what made up my mind,but by the time i got ta the lake there was whitecaps lol......water temp was down 4 degrees and the crappie had pulled off and suspended or stuck super tight to the structure.other areas farther down the lake are starting to turn on a lil now though.vertical jiggin with a long rod aint reall easy in 20mph winds but did manage to catch a few that way and a few more casting the jig.only 35 or 40 fish with 13 keepers outta the mess of em.hardest thing was to try an git myself to slow down after fri. lol.....got a lil spoiled lol

It is a small club tournament 9 boats.
My first time with Club.
Very unusual 5 dollar fee to fish goes to Club No payout Only fish for point standings.I am not a Big Bass guy only fished maybe 20 times in a bass type tournament So this club is fine foe Me Least I won't be Giving my money away. Now I look at a general map I do not have a topo. I can relate to Bridge goes over lake. East side lake and West side Lake I believe guy I am fishing with has all The goodies GPS ETC. . Now He said He never fished lake either. What depths are you fishing east side lake west side In a bay area.Etc. Any ting would Help It looks like you are fishing the bottom By Logs? I bet a Crappie tournament would be good But We are fishing Bass.
Wat color lure what size spinner bait willow leaf ( color ) I imagine if water is stained line does not matter. Wow 43 degree water Where does one fish when have a current ? any area in lake to careful as far as running boat ?.

wooo boy......whole lakes a mess right now....yer gonna have to be real carefull of floaters.....its full of standing timber/laydowns....i hardly ever fish up river,always stay in the main part of the lake.....ill git a pm with particulars off to ya tommorrow or sun.....gonna be a long un so take me a while lol......is it a 1 or 2 day tourney?
