for the last few days ive been doin quite a bit of crappie fishin and finally got to use the acadia rod/reel combo for what " i" think its intended for right beside the other crappie rods ive got.that poor rod and reel has caught bout everything cept crappie till now lol...even though its shorter and not as stiff action wise compared to what i like its performance more than makes up for it. plenty of backbone even with the braided line for snatchin the fish away from cover and its excellent on sensitivity.my other rods ive had to carry mono AND braid in the boat for when theyre really slammin it and the combination of braid and little stiffer rod didnt give enough.no more of that!ive also had some issues "slingshottin" the jig under limbs and docks with any accuracy until now, last couple days ive been shootin tha jig 20 ft or more under docks and overhangs and able to hit the mark 90% of the time even when ive had 6 inches of clearance.

if your lookin for a good crappie rod these are sure the way ta go!

Great report Joe, I love the feel of both the rods an Reels I have here, heck the one that
is "heavier" has as much "feel" as any UL I have owned previous, the reels, they just work, anti reverse stops on a dime to, non of that 2 inches of spool play you get in some

Just flat out great gear!

That is a great set up , know what you mean bout casting that jig too, you get that es100 loaded up with some 4 or 6 lb and it will shoot a slip bobber a country mile and hit a dime
Great for crappie an gills
An as light as it feels got plenty of backbone, Bobby fished it end of year at a farm pond at his friends and caught some pretty nice bass and some channels on it without
putting any kinda strain on the rig
