Nice fish. Whereabouts in the Schuylkill do you find those suckers? Not looking for your "honey hole," just curious. I've heard of folks pulling some cats out of the river, but not carp.

Nice fish and would imagine that was a great fight...:icon_cool:
This is catch and release fishing. The fish was caught in the Fairmont Park area of Philadelphia. Right off Kelly Drive. It was at one of the fish ins put on by the Carp Anglers Group (CAG). The event ran until 4PM. The heaviest fish caught by 4 was 7 pounds and change. The awards were handed out as I was fighting this fish. The two state chairmen (Matt Cole and Louis Cook) know me pretty well and they at first thought that I was pretending with a smaller fish. They as well as me were pleasantly surprised when this fish came to the net. My advice to anyone who wants to give carp fishing a try is to go to the Carp Anglers Group website www.carpanglersgroup.com (http://www.carpanglersgroup.com) and look at the fish in schedule for your state. Attend a fish in (free of charge) and do not be afraid to ask questions. We are a friendly group eager to show you how to catch carp. Some are even held on the fish for free days of that state to get more interest started. Thanks for asking!
