First trip of the yr on the Rock was a great one!!!
Fished a couple hrs this am, about 830-10/1030!! Fished 4-6FOW, using shad for bait. River was pretty dirty, lot of junk floatin down yet!! water temps 43 degree, Missed a bunch and brought about 15 in the boat!!, biggest of the day was 4lb 10ozs, most around 2 lbs. kept 2 for dinner and rest went back!! Was a great spring day to be out on the water!!

Jason - where did you put in at? Did you see all the boaters who put in at Lawrence Park? Most I have ever seen there - due to the high water I guess? The boats who could get to the lower dame looked to be pulling in some big ones.

Wish I could get out - hopefully soon!

It was a great day of fishing and plenty of action. The river otters were a sight to see that i may never see again like that. I look forward to fishing with mark whenever the chance comes up.

I want to, but it wont be till after I am out of school, and the Rock River is likely the first place I will go. I am in a Rough fish tournament on another site and need to catch some catfish, carp, drum, ect... Does anyone know if them white bass are running yet?

Well cambridgefisherman they are starting to hit now. I was down to dixon today on the rock and caught three in a little slack spot i found in all that current. They were all about right at 11" or so. Snagged a few big ole carp too. The river is way up though and needs to go down a bunch...They should start hitting really good soon with these warm days..
