went to clinton lake the 5th gonna try the hot water right after it opened the 1st...shad were scattered all over and not schooled up and so were the fish.stripers and white bass didnt want to cooperate but caught a few decent largemouth on a fluke before i headed for the dam and cooler water to try fer some walleye.hit all my favorite spots in short order and got nothing but bass so i quit arguin with the fish and spent the rest of the day bass fishing...got a pretty good pattern going with the best action coming bout halfway back towards the hot ditch in water temps of 56 to 58 degrees.ended up with 15 keepers in that area with the 2 biggest being a 4 lb 2 oz largemouth an a 2 lb 15 oz. smallmouth....most came on a 4 inch jerk bait,3 1/2 inch pumpkin colored tube with a jighead inside it and the fluke.
