Suprise carp...

Today i wasnt planning on going fishing but my aunt called up and wanted me to haul some stuff for her down to our cabin in my truck so i took the poles along incase it wasnt raining. She hasnt been fishing in at least 10 years so she was excited to catch a fish. When we got there a bunch of carp were messing around in the bay so i just threw a couple poles out with night crawlers on the bottom and sure enough she hooked into one....It turned out to be the biggest carp i had ever seen weighing in at 27lbs.!!! She had never caught a fish over 5lbs in her life i dont think. We only got to fish for 15 minutes before the rain set in so that was the only catch...I forgot the camera at home so i didnt get a picture of the huge thing.

She will probably never forget it..she was so excited when she saw the big ole thing and she talked about it the whole way home,lol...Im hoping to get back down there tomorrow or sunday and catch a few more just for the fun of it...and cast for bass and walleye in my little hole that i didnt get to try today before it started raining...

Now how neat is that? Isn't it neat how a full grown gal can get as excited as a kid over a big fish? As it was said she won't forget that experiance. Mike

Definitely a big fish. Sounds like a fun time and like your aunt caught the "fishing bug."
