After tinkering around with some smaller bait tanks and getting tired of going after bait before setting out for a night of catfishing it was time for a change. Found a large plastic tank that holds approx. 200 gallons that had a few cracks in the bottom. Checked and found all the leaks then sanded the areas of concern. After the prep work I applied fiberglass patches and resin to the cracks. Then refilled with water and it was like new again. Then I borrowed Catbird's idea for a filter system. Picked up a 120v pond pump at walmart that pumps 320 gph. That pumps the water up to a bucket filled with fiber fill and charcoal. The bucket has small holes drilled in the bottom which the water trickles back out of. When the water drops back to the tank it also provides some aeration.

Good idea there Jason. That should keep the bait fresh and lively. Mike
