Big Bass and Big Smiles

The bass are moving into the shallows and the bass action is really heating up. My daughters and I were out working T.H.E. JIG and some small worms for those big bass. We were using 6# Trilene and the bass action was fantastic. We were pushing our luck losing big fish on such light line but my girls learned how to fight big bass slowly and carefully. I was so proud of them. Light line, small jigs, and hard fighting fish made our adventure so cool. My kids are still talking about the big bass that we caught together. We ended up bringing in 17 nice sized bass between 2 and 5 1/2 pounds. We lost a few in the brush but my young fishing buddies learned lots about fishing bass. Some of our best bass of the evening.

This is why I am so addicted to fishing. I love the bite, the fight, and the beauty of those awesome fish. Being out there with my girls makes my passion all worth while. Pass it on!
