Oklawaha River thursday

I went to a part of the river that I'd never been on yesterday. Launched at "Gores Landing" park. It was like runnin an obstickle coarse with all the huge tree's that were in the water from the 2006 hurricanes. There were schools of bass crashing shinners in the log jams and cypress knees. I lost count of the one pounders I caught on Rapala "Fat Raps" and KaRu "Vibrashafts". I took a picture of the biggest one I caught. It grabbed the Rapala and tried to bury herself in a log jam but I got her out. I don't have a scale but she was proly 3+ pounds.

go find you a bagly bangolure in blue about three inches long it is a top water jerk bait and we tear em up here with it all the way from 1 to 8 pouders against the shore line and by structures.... aint nuttin like a big ol bass making that water explode when he hits that plugas far as fishing for fresh water grouper goes...lol........but still would rather fish fer kitties...lol

way ta go pegleg! them lil fellers are sure lots of fun,keep ya interested waitin on a big one lol....fella was usin one of them new buzz frogs in the boat with me last weekend...never used em myself but ill bet theyd work in them logjams real good
