I have been using a bait made by Zoom for some time now and it has become my go to bait ANYTIME. This incredible little peice of plastic WILL catch fish Almost ALL the time.Largemouth, smallmouth, gills will even try to get it. The bait is the Ultravibe speed craw, color ranges between 3.Green pumpkin(most of the time), watermelon, these 2 colors have caught more bass then i care to count lol the other color is watermelon red,it works GREAT in stained to muddy water, the red flake in this thing is just amazing. This is THE bait i have everywhere i go, lol i even have some in the car with my spare pole (just in case) lol i got started using these and buy as many as i can afford anytime i'm near them and these colors are in stock but if i had to just buy one it would be the green pumpkin.Texas rigged with as small as sinker as you like. The key is usually to drag it very slowly along the bottom. If the fish are really active it has also produced very well just reeling it back in slowly, OR reel it fast on the top just like a small buzzbait!!!!!

Folks lets hear that one bait that has caught you the most fish. Your absolute favorite go to lure or bait. No secrets we are all here to learn.

Hello, Highrider. How are you?

I'd have to go with the original, grandaddy of all soft stickbaits, the Lunker City Slug-Go, in the 3" and 4 1/2" sizes and in the Arkansas Shiner and all-black color configurations. I've had particularly good fortune with the 3" Arkansas Shiner. I've even caught huge bullgills with it, caught channel cat right after a rain with it, and one day I caught 28 largemouths in 20 minutes when fishing it on a barbless modified Kahle hook (I bent the eye back to be in a parallel line with the hook point, and ground the barb off with my Dremel). A buddy of mine started calling the Shiner three incher "Old Faithful," because it always caught fish. I've even outfished live bait on several occasions with it. If that isn't a "go-to" bait, nothing is!

Tight lines, buddy.
