Well, it was off an on spinkles with occasional thunder storms today so no painting for me. Can you guess what I did instead?:confused0082:

YUP! I went fishing!:icon_biggrin: That is what ANY of you would have done, too. Right? Especially in this lunar cycle....the local lake just broke 60 degrees....intermittent sun, clouds and rain......WHAT ELSE IS A GUY TO DO?:fighting0059:

Myself and a friend/coworker decided to load my 10' pond jumper and 65# MinnKota (old bugger), batteries, seats and rods and tackle on his Tahoe and go. We went. Caught some nice bass. A few chain pickerel, the largest 27' and around 6-7#. We brought home some yellow perch and bluegills (bream to you Southern members:icon_razz:) to fry, too. Already deboned, breaded and fried.....not to mention gone!:evilgrin0039:

A few more pics. Remember that these are just a fraction of the fish we caught today. Total was around 28-30 largemouth, 12 or so chain pickerel, a dozen yellow perch and 50+ bluegill/bream. Not a bad day and we were only on the boat four hours at the most.:confused0068:

That's a bummer. The bad part is that stuff you're getting is heading this way. SOOoooo I needed to get some fishing out of my system before it gets nasty here.

Know the feeling guys. Storms on and off past three days. Stopped now and sun just came out. Gonna look at radar and head out if it is clear!

Well, I tried some fishing from the bank today. They forecast thunderstorms so floating around in an aluminum box is not the brightest thing a guy can do. We didn't get much, but we did catch a lot of bluegills. LOTS of them, a few bullheads and some chain pickerel, too. Some of the 'gills were nearly the size of dinner plates so we kept about 15 of those to fillet. No shortage of them in that lake anyway.:icon_biggrin:

We did get rained on, but not too bad. I set a tarp up near the water's edge to sit under.:icon_cool: Had a small fire to dry up and no lightning came after all. Darn it, I could have taken the boat.

JUST REMEMBER: A bad day fishing is much better than a good day at work.:icon_razz:
