My family and I went up to Owatonna to pick up my new 4 wheeler and do some fishing with a buddy of mine. Adam had told me about a pond with lots of good fish in it. The weather was perfect with temps. in the 80's, very little wind and the fish were up shallow and active. My father has been a life long live bait fisherman who believes in the need for meat. When we got to the pond my father asked me "what are we using for bait"? I told him we were using T.H.E. JIG. His comment was OK, with a confused look on his face. I set him up with a spinning rod and one of my favorite colors the yellow/blue JIG. We started out fishing the north shore and it wasn't long before my dad had his first fish on. His confusion soon became all smiles as he caught fish after fish. The action was very consistent with 130 or so gills and crappies caught in 2 hours by Rachel and my father. It was great to see all of the fish being caught on T.H.E. JIG. I was very busy taking off fish for Rachel but I loved every minute of our experience. We love T.H.E. JIG!

Greetings!

Ole PanFish Dave from Indiana here and new to the forum.

I to am like like your father. I normally fish for gills and red ears with a red ant jig tipped with a red wriggler worm. I would not even consider not fishing with something without "meat."

Would like to try the jigs you are talking about. Where do I get a few to test them?

Crappie Keith makes them. You'll see him posting on here quite a bit - the guy definitely knows his stuff - and isn't bashful about sharing his knowledge :icon_biggrin:
