gave the 3000 a workout today..threw a 3/4 oz. spinnerbait for round 4 hours straight.
had 1 problem with it and that was the sideplate screws came loose twice on me.tends to happen with heavy baits,but could sure feel the gears getting out of sync when it happened.
on the other hand,i had no problems catfishing with it later in the day.tightened the drag way down to see how the reel would hold up to some serious "hawgin" the cats out of the trees.drug the little 2 and 3 pound cats out no problem
